As a follow-up on the school’s Earth Day celebration on April 18th, Grades 1 to 9 participated in exciting contests organized by Grade 10 on the 20th. Recognizing the need for a sustainable living, Grade 10 students held Minute to Win It contests separately for primary and senior students. Students from Grades 1 to 5 had to arrange 10 words related to the environment in alphabetical order in pairs. Grades 6 to 9 planted herb and vegetable seeds in re-purposed plastic bottles for hydroponics in pairs. The winning pairs from each grade won potted plants as their surprise rewards. The planted seeds have been labeled and adopted by the school’s kitchen. Not to be left behind, our tiny tots from Kindergarten too contributed to the Earth Day celebrations with finger painting, sponge painting activities.
