The school’s little celebration on July 13 to commemorate the French celebration of Bastille Day was at once heartwarming, educational and sweet. Students learning French across all grades put up and excellent show. Ram and Taran of Grade 7 explained how the day came to be celebrated and the way it has evolved over the centuries. To showcase the values of freedom and peace, girls from all grades sang a song with the trademark French lilt. Little ones from Senior KG and Grade 1 danced to a pre-recorded French rhyme they had sung.
The Principal spoke about liberty and peace for all, an attitude the French have exemplified over time. The assembly ended with French and Indian national anthems and left the audience with a feeling of happiness at new things learnt.
